Though it’s not for everyone, I have to say that I love Christmas-themed clothing. Give me a Santa hat and a jumper with Rudolph any December and I’ll be rocking them to lectures for days. Though some may think that Christmassy clothing is unnecessarily obnoxious, I couldn’t disagree more. If anything it puts a smile on the faces of most people you pass (though haters gonna hate) which I’m certainly grateful for given the miserable weather and constant deadlines we’re currently drowning in. Here are some of the items I would very much like in my life this festive season.
Let’s start with something cheap, cheerful, and, may I add, hilariously cute: the Evie Chillin Christmas jumper (Boohoo.com, £15).
Okay, so maybe if you’re not as Christmas-crazy as me, you could go for something a little more subtly festive. For example, this beautiful velvet tartan top (Jigsaw, £89) could easily be worn all winter long.
If you really don’t feel like inflicting a whole lotta Christmas spirit on the town, these navy Fair Isle print bow socks (New Look, £5.99) are the perfect compromise! They’ll brighten your day and keep your feet warm to boot, plus no one ever has to know.
I for one will certainly be guilty of eating one too many mince pies this Christmas so even when I’m not in my full on holiday attire, I will be bundling up in this slightly more tasteful mint green Christmas pudding embellished jumper (New Look, £22.99).
And finally, a North Pole Christmas jumper (Boohoo.com, £20) to keep the lads warm on a chilly night out – and you never know, it just might work…
So if you see me in the library shamelessly rocking my snowman jumper, be sure to give me a wave. I look forward to seeing all of you decked out in festive clothing during the oh-so-festive exam period. Merry Christmas!
